Hit tweets that started the controversy and trolling were,"God bless everyone ,I am not a Muslim and have to be worken up by the Azaan in the morning ,when will this forced,religiousness end in India,And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam,why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison? I don't believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity to wake up people who don't follow the religion ,why then------?Honest? True?

Sonu Nigam tweet on Azaan propelled a series of debate's on social media, while Sonu Nigam might have found early morning Azaan disturbing ,so much so,That he expressed his announce on twitter,There are celebrities who have stopped their press conferences mid-way to show respect for the Muslim prayer.

Almidst the controversy that Sony Nigam invited,two old videos of actor Salman Khan and PM Modi pausing their public addresses for Azaan are going viral.

Salman Khan was at the press conference during Bigg Boss 8 promotion in 2014 ,when colors CEO Raj nayak was addressing the media,the actor heard the evening Azaan,He quickly gesticulated Raj to stop and ensured that the entire event was paused for about two minutes to show respect to the prayer ,This two-year old clip of salman khan has surfaced online and gone viral.

Sonu Nigam Azaan row: will Mamata share dias with 'imam'who offered RS 10 lakh bounty ?

An influential Muslim body in kalkata is hopeful that west Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee will share a stage on Friday with a little known leader who announced a Rs 10 lakh bounty for shaving Bollywood singer sonu nigam's head. 

Shed Md Nurer Rahman Barkati backed Quaderi and said he'd be the next one to declare a fatwa against him.

After Muslim leader shed share atef Ali all Quaderi announced on Tuesday that anyone who shaved singer sonu Nigam's hair,put a garland around his head and toured him across the country would be awarded Rs 10 lakh by him,Today shahi imam of Tipu Sultan Masjid,Syed Md Nurur Rahman Barkati has stood in support of Quaderi.

I fully support what Quaderi had said yesterday and it sonu Nigam doesn't mend his ways I would be the next one to declare a fatwa against him.

Barkati,who is one a trip to new Delhi to meet president Pranab Mukherjee,told DNA over the phone.

He said that sonu's tweets were made in a bad taste,He is a good singer and should stick to it,He should not interfere with religion,Azaan is very melodious and there should not be anything to complain about it,The hotel where I had put up in Delhi was in the vicinity of a temple and I used to here the temple bells ringing from my room,I never thought of complaining,Sonu himself sings bhajans and other songs which are played at religious places,we don't object to those,He said,Referring to Sony's shaving off his hair today and conducting a press conference.

Barkati said he was doing it out of depression,I have been told that he suffers from depression,Today he has been asked to shave his hair and he did so,Tomorrow someone will ask him to take off his pants and he will oblige,Barkati added

The 43 year old singer,continuing with the controversy which he kicked off with his tweet on Monday regarding Being worken up by the sound of Azaan,Today shaved off his hair and conducted a press conference in Mumbai saying that he would like to have the award money of Rs 10 lakh which Quaderi had announced, Quaderi,however,said that it was again a part of the publicity stunt.

Sonu had done it to gain publicity and ha has got it,I had announced that whoever shaves has hair,Puts a garland of old shoes and tours him around the country would get Rs 10 lakh,It seem sonu has fulfilled one of the three conditions,Let him put a gaveland of shoes and go around the country, Only them will pay the money which I had announce.Quaderi.
